Maintenance Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing

Location: Denham, UB9
Salary: £40000k to £42000k + overtime opportunities

Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm , Friday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
(37.5 hours per week – enjoy early finishes on Fridays!)

About the Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that all machine shop equipment and manufacturing machinery operate efficiently and reliably. Your work will minimise downtime and support production targets while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards expected in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities

Perform Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) on machines and equipment
Diagnose faults and repair machinery and equipment quickly and efficiently
Replace worn parts, maintain lubricants and coolants, and follow machine specifications
Coordinate with external suppliers when specialist repairs are required
Use forklift trucks and lifting equipment to transport materials and finished components
Ensure health & safety, COSHH, and risk assessment procedures are strictly followed
Support Lean manufacturing initiatives, including:
5S activities
Continuous improvement programmes
Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are safe and fit for purpose
Report safety risks or equipment faults to supervision
What We’re Looking For

Essential

Experience working in manufacturing or machine shop environments
Engineering background
Ability to read engineering drawings
Experience using hand tools and testing equipment
Basic computer skills
Desirable

Forklift licence
Experience with maintenance of manufacturing machinery
