Summary
This is a great opportunity for a driven and experienced sustainability professional to lead the decarbonisation of Council operations and related projects that support the district towards our Bassetlaw Vision 2040.
You’ll be responsible for leading a team of three people who oversee and manage the Council’s energy and utilities, facilitate domestic retrofit funding for the private housing sector and deliver capital decarbonisation projects around the Council’s estate. This is your opportunity to make an indelible green mark for north Nottinghamshire by integrating and delivering key projects facilitating our sustainable transition.
Now is the perfect time to join Bassetlaw. There are a number of decarbonisation projects underway and in the pipeline leveraging over £3 million of grant from Salix Finance, with ample opportunity to generate new leads for a driven and forward planning individual. Further, the Council is at a pivotal point as the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire wide Local Area Energy Plan nears completion to influence immediate policy and strategy direction for Bassetlaw but also pave the way as the Unitary Authority takes shape in the coming years with LGR.
Why join us?
We offer a generous employee benefit packaged including 26-32 days holiday plus bank holidays, free healthcare cash plan, flexible working arrangements, and a strong commitment to learning and development through a wide range of professional and personal development opportunities.
