Summary
Solid Structures North West Ltd are looking for a Construction Supervisor to join their expanding team in the centre of St Helens.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours over 5 days, with a reasonable degree of flexibility as the working schedule requires.
What does joining us as a Construction Supervisor look like?
Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee daily site operations to ensure works progress safely, efficiently, and to programme.
Coordinate trades and subcontractors to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
Maintain health and safety compliance through inspections, supervision, and adherence to regulations.
Monitor quality standards, ensuring work meets drawings, specifications, and company expectations.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing updates and resolving on-site issues.
Support planning and logistics, including scheduling, material deliveries, and labour management.
Maintain site documentation, including progress reports, site records, and variation tracking.
What skills and qualities are we looking for?
Proven experience in residential/domestic construction.
Strong knowledge of building methods and trades.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and decision-making skills.
Good organisational and time-management abilities.
Working knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Proactive and self-motivated.

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Construction or related trade (desirable).
SMSTS or SSSTS certification (preferred).
First Aid at Work certification (preferred).
Valid driving licence.
