An education recruitment agency is currently working with a large and well-established secondary school in Watford to recruit a qualified English Teacher for an immediate start.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic English department within a school that prides itself on strong academic standards and a supportive teaching environment. The successful candidate will be expected to teach English across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Teach KS3 and KS4 English Language and Literature.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Create a positive classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement.
Work collaboratively with colleagues within the English department.
Contribute to department planning, meetings, and school initiatives.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3–KS4).
Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
Excellent classroom management skills.
A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student progress.
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
