Summary

We are looking for a compassionate, creative, and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our dedicated team in our welcoming residential care home, supporting residents within our specialist dementia unit and general residential unit . This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving the quality of life for older people and creating meaningful experiences each day.

About the Role
As our Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents by planning and delivering engaging activities tailored to individuals living with dementia. Your work will help promote wellbeing, independence, social connection, and joy.

You will work closely with residents, families, and the care team to design activities that reflect personal interests, life histories, and abilities.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan, organise, and deliver a varied programme of daily activities for residents.
• Encourage participation and engagement in both group and one-to-one activities
• Create stimulating, meaningful experiences that promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing
• Celebrate seasonal events, birthdays, and special occasions
• Work collaboratively with care staff to ensure activities are person-centred and inclusive
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment during activities

What We’re Looking For
• A caring, patient, and positive personality
• Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging older adults
• Understanding of dementia and person-centred care (experience preferred but not essential)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and encourage participation
• Organised and flexible approach to work

Hours & Flexibility
This is a full-time position, and flexibility is required to support activities throughout the week, including occasional weekends and special events.
