Summary
Email & SMS Retention Marketing Specialist Junior/Mid-level/Senior
Wolverhampton (Hybrid) | Full Time
At The Big Phone Store, lifecycle marketing directly impacts revenue.
We’re looking for an experienced CRM & Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own our email and SMS strategy end-to-end.
This is a commercial/ creative role. Not just content. Not just scheduling.
You’ll be responsible for planning campaigns ahead of key sales periods, creating and optimising automated flows, analysing conversion performance, and continuously improving customer journeys.
If your approach to CRM is “the email went out, job done,” this isn’t the role for you.
We’re looking for a CRM specialist who constantly improves flows, experiments with ideas, and is driven to achieve best-in-class performance.
What You’ll Own
• Full Klaviyo lifecycle strategy
• Campaign calendar and seasonal planning
• Automated flows (welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back)
• Segmentation strategy and behavioural targeting
• A/B testing and performance optimisation
• Revenue per campaign tracking
What We’re Looking For:
•Automation builders
•People who think in journeys / conversion logic
•Creative ideation people
• Strong experience using Klaviyo is preferred but not essential.
• Desire and ability to improve conversion and retention metrics
• Excellent written English no reliance on others to proofread
• Data-driven decision-making
• Commercial awareness and forward planning
• High standards and accountability
We want someone who feeds back proactively, not when asked, keeping stakeholders and management updated on progress, results, learnings, and next steps
Previous experience CRM is not essential, and we welcome applications from people with a strong interest in marketing, including those with marketing degrees. That said, a degree on its own is not enough we’re looking for people who can show real drive, genuine interest, and a track record (work, projects, side work, or self-learning) of going above and beyond, taking ownership, and making things happen without being told every step
What Success Looks Like:
Success in this role means fine tuning a CRM engine that improves continuously and delivers measurable commercial results. You’ll be expected to increase orders, conversions and revenue from flows and campaigns through ongoing testing, refinement and optimisation with steady progress shown week by week and month by month, not just occasional wins
Perks & Benefits:
• Up to 28 days paid holiday
• Birthday off (after year 2, no annual leave used)
• Extra day of annual leave every year from year 2
• Free onsite parking
• Private pension scheme
• Salary sacrifice schemes
• Staff discounts on tech
• Team socials and days out
• Equal opportunities employer (est. 1999)
• Recession-proof, sustainable industry
