We’re looking for an experienced Principal Surveyor to join our dynamic Property Portfolio and Advisory team, supporting the Secretary of State’s non operational property interests. You’ll manage a small but high profile asset portfolio, provide expert estate and strategic property advice across major transport and infrastructure projects, and work closely with stakeholders nationwide. The role includes line management of one surveyor and opportunities to lead others through project based work.

About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
• Experience of property management and asset management working in a professional property team; leading on projects and delivering advice to clients
• Experience of maintaining effective relationships at all levels to understand stakeholders’ needs and priorities
• Experience of working with senior leaders to plan, advise and support delivery of
property projects
• Managing expectations, making quick and well-judged decisions based on a sound understanding of client requirements and the business context
• Experience of reviewing, analysing, interrogating and interpreting data, and drawing logical conclusions
• Experience of explaining property matters and reports to others. Presenting data
and explaining reports to stakeholders many of whom do not have a background in
property
• Experience of writing reports and presenting their findings
