Our MIS department are excited to announce that we are looking for a team member to join as a Exams Officer.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced candidate to join our dedicated team.

The Role:
Term Time Only, 30 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
* This is an exciting opportunity to join the Exams team as an Exams Officer to effectively manage all of the FE examinations
assessment processes in respect of all awarding bodies and JCQ compliance.
* The successful candidate will deliver an effective service to meet the needs of all stakeholders providing effective
communication with awarding bodies, teaching staff and students on all matters relating to Further Education exam assessment
and administration
* Suitable applicants must possess 5 GCSE’s at Grade C (4) or above including Maths & English and ideally a recognised IT
qualification.
* Successful applicants should have relevant work experience, ideally in an FE environment not essential. As the role requires
a high level of organisation and communication skills, the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines is essential.
Main Duties for this role include:
* Acquire and maintain up to date knowledge of examinations systems, Awarding Body and JCQ regulations and work with the team to
ensure any changes and developments that affect the delivery of service in the Examinations Sector are implemented
* Act as Centre Contact / Nominee for all Awarding Bodies and Examination Boards to ensure consistent and compliant practice
* Respond to enquiries from learners, parents and authorised third parties about sitting examinations, results and certification
and offer solutions to their queries
* Ensure that the receipt of and issuing of results and certificates is efficient and provides learners with the best service
possible
* Organise sittings for all examinations (including practical/oral/mock/internal and online exams) including booking venues,
provision of required materials, seating plans and publication of schedule and venues to staff and learners
* Be trained as an invigilator and allocate other invigilators to examinations and assist the Examinations Officer with ensuring
invigilators are trained to carry out their duties in accordance with JCQ regulations
