Summary

Cardiff Metropolitan University is currently seeking a Project Manager to support the development and implementation of a number of new strategic change projects.

In this role, you will take responsibility of day-to-day management of the project, including all stages of the project life cycle, from definition, scoping and planning, risk management through to implementation and closure. Importantly, you will develop, implement and manage project plans, using established project management methodologies to ensure quality outcomes and business benefits are achieved on time and within budget.

You will also:
Support project sponsors and key stakeholders to develop business cases;
Provide effective leadership to the project team ensuring that team members are motivated;
Manage the projects’ budgets within agreed tolerances by forecasting requirements.


What you’ll bring
With significant experience of delivering complex, cross-organisational change projects; you will bring strong working knowledge of project management theory and practice. As a Project Manager with broad insight into the inter-connected nature of modern information systems, you’re confident managing a busy workload and meeting deadlines without compromising quality.

With highly developed communication skills, you will be comfortable building relationships with a wide range of people, presenting complex information tailored to your audience. Using excellent interpersonal skills, you’ll be able to lead, develop, and motivate teams and individuals towards shared goals.

You’ll also bring:
Experience of building productive internal and external relationships and networks.
Experience of user requirements gathering, business process analysis and modelling and options appraisal techniques.
Experience of applying recognised project management methodology and tools as appropriate to projects.
