Summary
We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Housekeeper and House Manager to oversee the day-to-day upkeep and presentation of a collection of luxury holiday cottages on a private country estate. This hands-on role requires high standards, excellent organisational skills, and a flexible, can-do attitude to ensure an exceptional guest experience year-round.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the cleanliness and presentation of holiday cottages to maintain consistent 5-star standards
2. Work alongside the cleaning team to clean and prepare properties
3. Manage all laundry and linen logistics efficiently
4. Ensure cottages are stocked and ready with guest welcome packs
5. Respond to guest callouts or requests as needed in a friendly, professional manner
6. Monitor and maintain readiness of all cottages throughout the year
7. General housekeeping duties: dusting, bed making, ironing, etc.
8. Help with general maintenance tasks during quieter winter months (Sept-Mar)
9. Support with light gardening and weeding
10. Ability to cook is an added bonus
What We’re Looking For:
1. Previous experience in housekeeping, property management, or hospitality preferred
2. Impeccable attention to detail and commitment to high standards
3. Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
4. Friendly, guest-focused, and approachable in all interactions
5. Confident working both independently and as part of a team
6. Full driving license and own transport essential due to rural location
