We are seeking a child-centred, creative, and inspirational Headteacher to build on our current strengths and to drive the next phase of the school’s development. You will embody our school values: Responsible, Caring, Fearless & Secure
As our new Headteacher, you will:
• Be an innovative leader, providing strong strategic leadership in collaboration with the Governors, staff and church to deliver the schools child-focused vision
• Lead the school’s Christian distinctiveness, developing the spiritual life of all in the school community both children and staff
• Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for children and their families
• Be research and results orientated, fostering excellent teaching and learning practices across the school
• Champion our Forest School, embedding it in the life of the school
We are looking for a candidate who:
• Is a practising Christian (or demonstrates a strong commitment to Christian values) and is committed to leading a Church of England school.
• Has proven senior leadership experience, with a track record of improving children’s outcomes and wellbeing.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of primary education, curriculum design, assessment, has taught at KS1 and KS2, and is experienced in staff development to support all pupils
• Has experience of or enthusiasm for Forest School philosophy, or a willingness to champion it for the benefit of children’s learning and personal development.
• Is a confident clear communicator, able to engage effectively with pupils, parents, staff, governors, and the church community.
• Has excellent organisational, financial, and operational leadership skills.
• Understands the statutory requirements of KCSIE and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and development of every child
