Join us as a Change Officer and help transform L&Q

At L&Q, we’re on an ambitious journey to transform how we maintain our homes and deliver services for thousands of residents. Over the next few years, we’re redesigning our operating model, improving how our teams work together, and introducing new technology and data-driven insights.

As our Change Officer, you’ll play a part in ensuring our colleagues are engaged, ready, and confident to work in new ways. If you’re motivated by making a lasting impact for colleagues and residents, this is the role for you.

We’re driven by our purpose to provide social homes and landlord services that everyone can be proud of — and this role will be key to making that happen.

If this sounds like you, we would love for you to apply!

Your impact in the role:
You’ll play a key supporting role in how change is delivered at L&Q, helping to ensure our people are supported through change and that new ways of working are understood, adopted, and sustained. This role offers the opportunity to build experience across change delivery, analysis, and portfolio support. In this role, you will:

Support the people side of change for projects and initiatives, contributing to impact assessments, stakeholder mapping, and change activities through to adoption and embedding.
Work alongside Change Managers, project teams, and business stakeholders to help implement agreed change approaches in a consistent and practical way.
Provide practical support to leaders and managers by preparing change materials, guidance, and tools that help them communicate and manage change locally.
Collect, analyse, and maintain change data to support a portfolio-level view of change, such as tracking change load, readiness, engagement, and adoption across the organisation.
Produce clear, accurate reporting and insights that help inform decision-making, prioritisation, and sequencing of change.
Capture feedback, lessons learned, and good practice to support continuous improvement of change delivery at L&Q.
By supporting both the delivery and analysis of change, you’ll help our colleagues adapt with confidence and enable L&Q to deliver services we can all be proud of.

What you’ll bring:
Early-career experience or strong interest in change management, organisational change, or business transformation.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organise, and interpret data and present insights clearly.
Confidence working with information, reporting, and basic analysis (e.g. spreadsheets, dashboards, or similar tools).
Good communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages and materials for different audiences.
A collaborative approach and willingness to learn from experienced change and project professionals.
Ability to work across multiple activities and priorities, with good attention to detail and follow-through.
Comfort working in a changing environment, bringing curiosity, structure, and a proactive mindset.
Desirable) Awareness of change management approaches or frameworks (e.g. Prosci, APMG), or a willingness to work towards formal training/accreditation.
(Desirable) Experience with Power BI (or similar) to turn data into insight.
If you require any reasonable adjustments at any stage during this process, including application stage, please email lqcareers@lqgroup.org.uk

People are at the heart of our business and our success depends on employing the best people and getting the best from them. The foundation of everything that we are is built on our corporate values and behavioural framework, which outlines our core expectations and should be demonstrated at all times, and all levels, when representing L&Q.

At L&Q, we know that diversity and inclusion make us stronger – and they’re at the heart of everything we do.
