Apthorp Care Centre is a specialist care home in Barnet, North London supporting adults with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. The home offers 119 purpose designed bedrooms across three floors and provides complex nursing care, specialist dementia support and residential mental health care within a safe, structured and supportive environment focused on dignity, stability and wellbeing.

£26,436.80 per annum
Full time contract available
Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract

The Role
As Receptionist, you will be the welcoming face of the care home and the first point of contact for residents, families, visitors and professionals. Your role will be central to creating a warm, professional and organised front of house environment.

You will greet visitors, answer telephone calls and respond to general enquiries, ensuring everyone who contacts or visits the home receives a positive and helpful experience. You will also manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring correspondence is distributed accurately and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining records, updating resident information, supporting with filing and general office administration, and ensuring reception systems are kept organised and up to date. You will work closely with the Home Manager, Business Administrator and wider team to support the smooth running of the home.

In addition, you may assist with arranging visits, supporting enquiries from prospective residents and helping coordinate information between departments. Your role will help ensure communication within the home remains efficient and professional.

  • Previous receptionist or administrative experience is desirable but not essential
