Contract: Full Time Salary: £14.00 Per Hour Shift Type: Days & Nights Available Contracted hours: Full Time and Part TimeApthorp Care Centre is a specialist care home in Barnet, North London supporting adults with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. The home offers 119 purpose designed bedrooms across three floors and provides complex nursing care, specialist dementia support and residential mental health care within a safe, structured and supportive environment focused on dignity, stability and wellbeing.
Senior Care Assistant
- £14.00 per hour
- Full time and part time contracts available
- Day and night shifts available
- Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract
The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will support residents with complex health needs, dementia and mental health conditions while helping lead the care team during each shift.
You will assist residents with personal care, mobility and daily routines while ensuring dignity, safety and wellbeing are always maintained. You will also support the nursing team, oversee care tasks and help ensure care plans are followed accurately.
Working closely with nurses and care staff, you will help monitor residents’ wellbeing, respond to changes in their needs and ensure high standards of care are consistently delivered across the home.
Your role will help ensure residents receive compassionate, person centred care within a structured and supportive environment.
What We Are Looking For
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is preferred
- Previous experience working in a senior care role
- Experience supporting adults with complex needs, dementia or mental health conditions is desirable
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- A compassionate and patient centred approach
