- Complete room balancing using traverse checking methods and equipment such as bolometers and dampers.
- Support the management and operation of ventilation and LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) systems in line with HTM03‑01.
- Work toward becoming the Authorised Person (Ventilation) and attend ventilation meetings with the client.
- Deliver mechanical ductwork repairs and support AHU (Air Handling Unit) repairs alongside electrical engineers.
- Carry out proactive inspections and remedial repairs across mechanical, electrical, heating, plumbing, and ventilation installations.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship aligned to safety requirements, building codes, and Serco standards.
- Record all maintenance activities accurately within Serco Management Systems.
- Work both independently and as part of a wider team to ensure an effective and responsive service.
- Uphold QHSE requirements, report hazards, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Undertake other reasonable tasks as requested by line management.
Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have…
- NVQ Level 3 in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline, plus C&G in Heating, Ventilation and Refrigeration.
- Proven experience as an M&E maintenance engineer, ideally within building services or HVAC environments.
