Looking for a rewarding role where you can lead a classroom without the burden of lesson planning or marking? Join our secondary schools as a professional Cover Supervisor.

Why This is the Perfect "Work-Life Balance" Role

Are you a confident communicator looking for a career that fits within school hours? This role is designed for professionals who thrive on variety and leadership but value their evenings and weekends.

  • True Work-Life Balance: No planning, no marking, and no after-school meetings. Your shift ends when the final bell rings.
  • Competitive Daily Rates: Earn £90 - £120 per day, paid every Friday via Randstad.
  • Flexible Career Paths: Whether you are a Career Changer testing the waters of education or a Retired Professional looking to stay active, we provide the platform.
  • Supportive Environment: You aren't just a "sub"-you are a valued member of the school's frontline leadership team.

Your Role as a Classroom Lead

As a Cover Supervisor, you are the steady hand that ensures high-quality learning continues in the teacher's absence.

  • Facilitate Learning: Deliver pre-set lesson plans across various subjects (KS3 & KS4), ensuring students remain engaged and on-task.
  • Manage the Environment: Utilise your natural leadership skills to maintain a calm, productive, and safe classroom atmosphere.
  • Liaise with Faculty: Provide concise feedback to departments regarding student progress and behaviour during the session.
  • Professional Presence: Act as a role model, upholding the school's values and safeguarding standards at all times.

What We Are Looking For

We value transferable skills and character over specific subject degrees. You are a great fit if you:

  • Command Respect: You have the presence and confidence to lead a group of 30 young people.
  • Are Adaptable: You can pivot from a History debate to a Science workshop with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
  • Are Resilient: You handle challenges with professional composure and a sense of perspective.
  • Are Compliant: You hold an enhanced DBS (or are willing to apply) and are 100% committed to Safeguarding.
