Yard Operative - FLT Counterbalance
Location: Wortley, Leeds (LS12)
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm (30-minute unpaid break)

Search Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Yard Operative with a valid FLT Counterbalance licence to work for our client based in the Wortley area of Leeds (LS12). This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity with a well-established roofing supplies business, offering stable hours and the chance to secure a permanent position with the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a counterbalance forklift truck to move and load materials
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
- Picking and preparing roofing materials for customer collections and deliveries
- Assisting with general yard duties and maintaining a clean, organised workspace
- Serving customers attending the site, providing helpful and professional service
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Valid FLT Counterbalance licence (essential)
- Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse, or builders/roofing merchants environment is desirable
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
- Confident and customer-focused, with the ability to deal with customers on site
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
