The Role

Housing Adaptations is an established team and has recently expanded to improve delivery of the service. We are in the process of procuring a new CES contract in collaboration with neighbouring authorities with a view to it commencing in October 20206, so this is a good time to join the team.
As the Integrated Community Equipment Service (ICES) Senior Commissioning Officer, you will:
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of an essential frontline service.
- Build strong relationships with managers, clinicians, suppliers, partners and service users.
- Ensure the service runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Provide specialist advice across community equipment.
- Oversee and support the Quality Monitoring Officer.
- Drive improvements, innovation and best value.
About You
You should be a dynamic and driven person who wants to ensure ICES is delivered to the best of your ability. You should have a good standard of education and although a professional clinical qualification is not essential, we expect you to have experience and knowledge of Community Equipment Service processes and how they work within a local authority.
The role also involves managing the ICES contract. You should be able to communicate information with colleagues and with differing levels of management within the Council and within the supplier hierarchy.
There is the opportunity for development within the role which would form part of the yearly Performance Milestone conversation.
