Work Pattern: The desirable working pattern is 6.30am-9.30am and 2.30pm-5:50pm, this is open to discussion and negotiation.

This post will commence: 22nd June 2026

We are looking to appoint a reliable, proactive and well-organised Premises Manager to join our dedicated team within The Ivory Federation.

The Ivory Federation is a successful partnership of three welcoming schools: Springhead Infant and Nursery School (Saddleworth), Propps Hall Primary School (Failsworth) and Rushcroft Primary School (Shaw). Our schools share a strong, caring ethos and a commitment to providing the very best environment for our children to learn and thrive.

This is an important role within our school community. The successful candidate will take pride in ensuring that our school sites are safe, secure, well maintained and welcoming for pupils, staff and visitors. You will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school and maintaining high standards across the premises.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is organised, reliable and able to work independently using their own initiative
  • Is flexible, practical and solution-focused
  • Has experience of general building maintenance and repairs
  • Can organise and carry out minor building improvements and manage small projects
  • Has a good knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • Understands the importance of site security and safeguarding
  • Has good communication skills and enjoys working as part of a supportive team
  • Takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for children

In return, we can offer:

  • A friendly and supportive staff team across our federation
  • A positive and caring school environment where staff are valued
  • Opportunities for training and professional development
  • A role where you can make a real difference to the daily life of the school
  • Experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage but is not essential.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday between 6:30am and 5:50pm. The exact working pattern will be agreed at interview. Please note that the role of Premises Manager in primary schools is typically a split-shift position.

If you are someone who takes pride in their work and would like to contribute to the safe and smooth running of our schools, we would be delighted to hear from you.

The Ivory Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
