Summary

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Garage Door Engineer to join a well-established company.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: £14.00 - £17.00 Per Hour, Depending on Experience. (£29,120 - £35,360 Per Annum – Based in 40 Hours Per Week).
Location: Flintshire CH8.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm - Overtime and occasional weekend work available.

With over 45 years’ experience in the garage door industry, supplying, installing, repairing and automating garage doors. Based in Flintshire, they are a family-run business specialising in the supply, installation, repair and servicing of all makes of garage doors, garage door motors and garage personnel doors.

About The Role:

Due to continued expansion and high demand for their services, they are looking to recruit an experienced Garage Door Engineer to work from their depot in Pentre Halkyn.

This is a hands-on engineering role requiring the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of garage door systems
• Fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical and automated door systems
• Automation upgrades and motor installations
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to industry standards

You will be working with and installing:

• Sectional garage doors
• Up & over garage doors
• Automatic roller shutters
• Front entrance doors
• Personnel doors
• Steel security doors
• Industrial doors
• Automatic doors

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in garage door installation and repair, or a strong engineering/mechanical background.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working with tools and mechanical systems
• Ability to fault-find and problem-solve independently
• Full clean UK driving licence (essential)
• CSCS card (advantageous, training can be provided)
• Comfortable working at height and undertaking manual handling
• Flexible and willing to work overtime when required

Skills & Training

You will be supported with ongoing training and development, including:

• Mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis
• Automation and control systems
• Basic electronics and engineering principles
• Health & safety compliance
