Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training guidelines.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, actively promoting a safe working environment.
- Work from written or verbal instructions and general operating procedures to ensure smooth production processes.
- Maintain control over product quality, ensuring standards are consistently met.
- Assist in the setup and adjustment of machines as required for different production runs.
- Perform basic data entry and utilise computer systems for production documentation.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborate as part of a team to meet production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Prioritise and organise tasks effectively to meet deadlines and production schedules.
- Demonstrate good working habits, including punctuality, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
- Support various shift patterns, including night shifts, as required by the production schedule.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong health and safety awareness, with the ability to actively promote safety guidelines.
- Good mechanical aptitude and skills, with the ability to set up and operate machinery confidently.
- Ability to follow SOPs and training processes accurately.
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and use of production systems.
- Effective communication skills, capable of working from written or verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, supported by relevant documentation.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrated reliability and good working habits.
- Flexibility to work various shift patterns, including nights.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is desirable but not essential.
Working hours: Standard shifts are 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm.
