We are recruiting an Assistant Support Manager to work with our valued client who specialise in Adult Supported Living , a respected charity supporting people with learning disabilities and autism to live full, independent and fulfilling lives.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about person-centred care who is ready to support the day-to-day leadership of a dedicated support team.
The Role
As an Assistant Support Manager, you will work closely with the Support Manager to ensure high-quality care and support is delivered to individuals in line with best practice and regulatory standards.
You will help lead, motivate and develop a team of support workers while ensuring the people we support receive the highest level of care and opportunities to live meaningful lives.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the day-to-day management of the service
• Assist with supervising, mentoring and developing support staff
• Ensure person-centred support plans are implemented and reviewed
• Promote independence, choice and inclusion for the people supported
• Assist with rota planning, staffing and service coordination
• Ensure compliance with care standards and safeguarding procedures
• Maintain accurate records and support with reporting requirements
About You
We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organised and ready to step into a leadership role.
Essential
• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Understanding of person-centred support
• Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings/weekends
• Full UK driving licence (preferred depending on service location)
Desirable
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care
• Previous experience in a senior support or team leader role
• Knowledge of CQC standards and safeguarding practices
