Summary
P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients who are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time permanent contract.
Job Description:
This is a varied, hands-on role involving electrical installation, maintenance, inspection and fault-finding across site facilities. It is a strong opportunity for someone with solid electrical maintenance experience who enjoys practical problem-solving and working in a busy operational environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Carry out new electrical installations, upgrades and modifications
• Maintain and repair existing electrical systems and equipment
• Assist with ride assembly and dismantling at required times
• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on rides and associated systems
• Complete daily ride inspections and safety checks
• Diagnosing faults on motors, drives, pumps and control systems
• Clean, repair and maintain electrical equipment and site facilities
• Monitor, test and certify seasonal ride operators where required
• Support ride operation when necessary
• Follow all health and safety procedures and safe working practices
• Keep work areas tidy and free from unnecessary tools and materials
• Carry out electrical work at other company-operated venues when required
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the role
Person Specification:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical work or maintenance
• 18th Edition qualification an advantage
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Working at heights an advantage
• Experience of electrical testing
• Knowledge of AC/DC drives, motors, pumps and PLC fault-finding
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics would be an advantage
• A practical, reliable and safety-conscious approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Hours and Benefits:
• During peak period, weekend work will be included with 2 days off in the week.
• In the winter months, Monday–Friday.
