Summary

About Us
We are a CQC registered homecare provider delivering high quality support across Hertfordshire. We are currently expanding our services beyond older adults to include respite care for children and young people. This is an exciting time to join our dedicated and growing team.
The Role
As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing tailored homecare support to service users, ensuring their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs are met. You will promote independence, safety, and wellbeing while delivering compassionate, person centred care.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high quality homecare in line with individual care plans.
• Support with personal care including bathing, dressing, oral hygiene, and continence needs.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, and feeding where required.
• Help service users with daily living tasks such as writing letters, managing bills, and collecting benefits.
• Perform light domestic duties and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Monitor health indicators including temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight.
• Promote service user dignity, autonomy, choice, and independence.
• Liaise with families, professionals, and the wider care team.
• Organise and facilitate meaningful activities and community engagement.
• Accurately document all care delivered and maintain up to date records.
• Administer prescribed medication safely and in accordance with policies.
• Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and escalate concerns promptly.
• Participate in audits, staff meetings, supervision, appraisals, and training.
• Follow organisational policies, procedures, and rota requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Desirable skills and experience include:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a care or health setting (children, young people, or adults).
• Strong communication skills and fluency in written and spoken English.
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with service users.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Problem solving skills and a positive, resilient approach.
• A commitment to professional development (Care Certificate/NVQ Level 3 completion within 12 months if not already held).
Personal attributes:
• Reliable, honest, and responsible.
• Warm, cheerful, and approachable disposition.
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent time keeping and organisational abilities.
