Summary

Production Operative – Wooden Roof Truss Assembly

Location: Redditch
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (£13.68 including rolled-up holiday pay)

We are currently recruiting Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing team in Redditch, assembling wooden roof trusses used in major construction projects including hospitals, schools, and residential buildings.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and has good attention to detail.

Working Hours

• Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm

  
  

• Friday: 7:00am – 1:30pm finish

  
  Key Responsibilities

  • Assembling wooden roof trusses in line with technical drawings and specifications

    
    

  • Measuring and cutting materials accurately

    
    

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings

    
    

  • Inspecting finished products to ensure quality standards are met

    
    

  • Identifying and resolving any assembly issues

    
    

  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace

    
    

  • Following all health and safety procedures

    
    Requirements

    • Basic mathematical skills

      
      

    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

      
      

    • Ability to read a tape measure (a tape measure test will be required)

      
      

    • Good attention to detail

      
      

    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

      
      About the Role

      This position is ideal for candidates with production, manufacturing, construction, or woodworking experience, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
