Summary
Workers will be picking loose and vine type tomatoes, working in the glasshouses in which temperatures can reach 30 degrees on hot days. Depending on the tomato variety, job will require picking sitting down on the picking trolley or standing behind trolley, pushing it while picking. Crates of tomatoes are between 5-15kg so will require lifting 4-25 crates of tomatoes every hour (job is not suitable for people with back problems). Minimum targets on the picking will be informed to worker by supervisor on site.
Work pattern
Monday to Saturday. But possible that it will be 5 days on rota, average 8 hours per day, 30-45 min unpaid breaks.
Pay rates: £12.21/hour.
Overtime applies after 48 hours.
Worker will need to work to a good quality standard and speed.
No former experience required as training is provided on site.
Must have proof of Right to Work in the UK.
If necessary, we can provide accommodation in caravans for 4-6 people per caravan, 10 min from the place of work, Charge- £74.62/week.
