Summary
Capita is looking for a technically strong and delivery‑focused Project Lead to join our BIPA team, supporting Central London Community Hospital's reporting and analytics function.
In this role, you'll bring structure, clarity and oversight to a range of data warehousing and reporting projects-ensuring our outputs are accurate, consistent and aligned to the trust's needs. • Leading and delivering data warehousing and reporting projects, including SQL‑based pipelines, data transformations, and Power BI dashboards.
• Producing clear, signed‑off requirements and specification documents for all agreed outputs.
• Setting and maintaining Power BI development standards, ensuring consistency and high quality in all dashboards and reporting assets.
• Providing senior technical oversight for the CSDS return, including process automation and improving data quality.
• Testing and validating reporting outputs to ensure accuracy, robustness and alignment to NHS requirements.
• Supporting the trust's BI strategy by helping drive a single source of truth across reporting systems.
• Working collaboratively with the BIPA leadership team, internal report users, the clinical applications team, finance partners and national NHS information bodies.
What we're looking for:
Essential Skills & Experience
• Strong NHS experience, ideally within community health datasets or environments.
• Solid technical capability in T‑SQL, SSIS or similar ETL tools, and experience working with SQL Server and data warehouse structures (fact/dimension models).
• Proven experience building and overseeing Power BI dashboards, with strong understanding of development standards, data modelling and DAX.
• Experience delivering data warehousing, reporting or analytics projects from inception through to deployment.
• High level of attention to accuracy, data quality and testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Desirable
• Knowledge of NHS mandatory reporting (e.g., CSDS, RTT, GUMCAD) or national datasets.
• Experience in healthcare reporting tools or NHS operational systems such as SystmOne, EMIS, Allocate HealthRoster, Datix or similar.
• Understanding of automation tooling such as Data Factory or similar platforms.
