Our client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a Senior Technical Sales Engineer to be based at their site in Newcastle on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong design engineering experience who also enjoys working closely with customers, leading bids, and producing accurate costings. As the Senior Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping proposals, understanding complex customer requirements, and helping to secure new business.

The Role – Senior Technical Sales Engineer
In this position, you will:
• Lead the technical elements of sales proposals, including bid preparation and cost estimations.
• Translate customer requirements into clear, accurate technical solutions.
• Work closely with engineering teams to define concept designs and ensure proposals are feasible, competitive, and commercially sound.
• Support customer discussions, providing expert guidance and presenting technical information confidently.

• Strong mechanical design engineering experience (senior level preferred).
• Proven capability in bid development and cost estimation.
