Summary
As part of our ongoing commitment to children in residential care, we are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead one of
our children’s homes located in a quiet village just outside of Newark. This permanent position offers you the opportunity to
shape the home's culture, ensuring that positivity and quality are evident throughout.
You will develop a dedicated staff team and implement practices that create a stable, enriching, and aspirational home environment
for the children in our care. Your leadership will drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care and support for children,
resulting in measurable outcomes.
By joining the YMCA, you will benefit from the support of our exceptional departmental leadership team, as well as our in-house
clinical, childcare, training, recruitment, and maintenance teams. This collaborative environment will enable you to access the
resources you need to excel in your personal development and enhance the well-being of the children in your care. Additionally, a
dedicated referrals coordinator will assist you in identifying the next children to move into your home, allowing you to focus
your time and energy on what matters most – the children and staff.
As a Registered Manager, you will need to hold or be actively working towards your Level 5 Diploma in Residential Care and be
prepared to pass your fit-persons interview with Ofsted to secure the home registration. We are committed to supporting you
through this process, especially if this is your first time registering.
We encourage you to bring your wealth of experience to enhance our care practices and strive for excellence in every aspect of our
service. Your team management skills will be crucial; your ability to unite a team, train, coach, and manage effectively will be
vital to the success of your home. You will lead initiatives that directly improve the quality of care and support for children,
ensuring measurable outcomes.
We value your prior experience with therapeutic care programmes and the understanding of their benefits. We will provide
comprehensive training on our in-house model, alongside our e-learning and face-to-face training designed to equip you with
everything you need to excel.
