Summary
The Band 5 Research Nurse will support the delivery of high-quality clinical research studies within the Adult Critical Care Research Team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Working alongside senior research nurses and Principal Investigators, the post holder will assist in the safe and effective coordination of NIHR portfolio and commercial studies in the critical care setting. The role involves screening, recruiting, and following up patients participating in research, ensuring studies are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), research governance frameworks, and Trust policies. The post holder will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary critical care team to embed research into routine clinical practice while maintaining patient safety, dignity, and advocacy. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop clinical research skills within a specialist critical care environment, contributing to innovation and evidence-based improvements in patient care.
