Our client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a P6 Planner to be based at their site in Newcastle on a permanent basis.

The P6 Planner Role
As a P6 Planner, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining and communicating project plans across multiple live projects. You’ll be responsible for creating Primavera schedules, producing resource and cost plans, and generating clear project reporting tools to support decision‑making at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
• Create and update project plans in Primavera (P6), including cost and resource loading.
• Produce histograms, S‑curves and other project performance visuals using Earned Value Management.
• Develop and maintain resource and cost schedules across multi‑project environments.
• Provide clear updates to stakeholders and contribute to cross‑department collaboration.
• Develop planning documentation, dashboards and project reports.
Key Requirements
• Proven experience as a P6 Planner working within engineering or manufacturing projects.
• Strong Primavera (P6) capability, including multi‑database environments.
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), SPI, CPI and project metrics.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to challenge and probe for accurate project data.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
