Our client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a Mechanical Technician to be based at their site in Blyth on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Technician Role
As a Mechanical Technician, you will:
• Assemble and build mechanical equipment to engineering drawings.
• Support pre‑commissioning, testing, and fault‑finding activities.
• Identify correct tooling, ensure calibration, and report defects appropriately.
• Carry out visual inspections, snagging and rectification work in line with quality procedures.
• Work independently or as part of a team within a heavy engineering environment.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed as a Mechanical Technician, you’ll need:
• A time-served apprenticeship or relevant mechanical trade background.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience within a heavy engineering or workshop environment.
• Flexibility to support shift work, overtime, and occasional travel.
• A professional approach with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
