Summary
Job Title: Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Salary: £28,000 – £38,000 per year (depending on experience)
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles while ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
• Perform repairs including brakes, suspension, engines, and transmissions
• Conduct vehicle inspections and safety checks
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Follow all health and safety procedures in the workshop
Requirements:
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence (preferred)
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality work
Desirable Skills:
• MOT Tester qualification, But not essential.
• Experience with diagnostic software and modern vehicle systems
• Experience working in a main dealer or busy independent garage
