Summary

The Royal College of Art is the world’s leading university of art and design. We're looking for a Digital Product Manager to lead and evolve our ServiceNow product that supports our staff and students, driving innovation, efficiency and outstanding user experience across the College.

In the last two years, we built the world's first admissions system on ServiceNow, proving that a small, focused team at the right institution can genuinely lead the sector. This role is your chance to be part of what comes next.

This is a strategic and hands-on role responsible for shaping the ServiceNow product vision, delivering agreed initiatives, and ensuring our product aligns with the College's strategic ambitions.

You will take ownership of the full product lifecycle from discovery and roadmap development through to delivery, optimisation and ongoing support, ensuring measurable business value and high levels of customer satisfaction.

You will lead on product practices across a complex organisation with multiple academic and professional service functions. Working collaboratively with senior stakeholders, technical teams and external suppliers, you will prioritise requirements, manage the product backlog, coordinate testing, and select the right methodologies to deliver the right outcomes.

A key part of the role is stakeholder engagement. You will build strong relationships across the College, translate business needs into clear product propositions, and communicate roadmaps with clarity and confidence at every level. You will also ensure product development complies with governance, information security, GDPR and financial regulations.

We are looking for someone who brings:

Proven experience leading large scale digital product initiatives in a complex organisation

Strong Agile and/or DevOps delivery experience — in practice, not just in theory

Experience managing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) platforms such as ServiceNow including configuration, audit and functional support

The ability to lead and inspire cross functional, matrix teams

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels

Technical and commercial awareness to drive value, manage suppliers and benchmark performance

A product mindset - you think in outcomes, design around user needs, and challenge constructively

If you are ready to make a real impact at a globally renowned institution and take our ServiceNow platform to a level that shapes the experience of every student and member of staff at the world's leading art and design university, we would love to hear from you.
