Quantity Surveyor (PO3) within Islington Council’s Housing Property Services, supporting the Capital Programme Delivery Mechanical, Electrical and Lift Team. Responsible for cost control, budgeting, valuations, tender reviews, contract administration, and financial monitoring of capital and cyclical building services projects. The role includes preparing cost estimates, managing project expenditure, liaising with contractors and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with construction regulations and RICS standards, maintaining project financial data, and supporting procurement and dispute resolution.
Essential requirements include:
Chartered Quantity Surveyor status or working towards qualification (or equivalent experience), strong knowledge of construction contracts and building services works, ability to prepare cost reports and budget estimates, excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience managing project costs across multiple projects, strong time management, and the ability to work independently while supporting project teams.
