Summary
We are seeking a professional, reliable, and motivated Area Cleaning Manager to oversee cleaning operations across multiple client sites in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, and the South Bank area. This is a key operational role responsible for managing teams of cleaners, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring all sites operate efficiently and safely.
Due to the nature of the sites, split shifts are required, as many cleaning operations take place during early morning and evening hours.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise cleaning teams across multiple sites.
Ensure all sites meet high cleaning standards and contractual requirements.
Conduct regular site audits and quality inspections.
Recruit, train, and develop cleaning staff.
Deliver cleaning training and health & safety guidance to team members.
Manage staff rotas, timesheets, and attendance records.
Use Timegate or similar workforce management systems.
Maintain strong client relationships and respond promptly to service requests.
Attend customer meetings and internal management meetings.
Ensure adequate staffing levels across all contracts.
Investigate and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
Monitor stock levels and ensure appropriate cleaning materials and equipment are available.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and company policies.
Requirements
Previous experience in cleaning management or supervisory roles preferred.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
IT literate, with experience using workforce management systems (e.g., Timegate).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Professional, courteous, and approachable manner.
Hard-working, conscientious, and highly reliable.
Ability to manage multiple sites and prioritise workload effectively.
Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (essential).
Enhanced DBS check required (clean criminal record essential due to site requirements).
Flexibility to work split shifts (morning and evening).
