Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Panel Beater (That can also Spray paint) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle body repair and restoration, with the ability to work with both hand and power tools. As a Panel Beater, you will be responsible for repairing and replacing damaged panels on vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and aesthetic standards. Your mechanical knowledge and attention to detail will be essential in delivering high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
Assess damaged vehicles and determine the necessary repairs required.
Utilise hand tools and power tools to repair or replace vehicle panels.
Read and interpret schematics to understand the structure of vehicles.
Maintain equipment in good working condition, performing regular checks and repairs as needed.
Weld components where necessary to ensure structural integrity.
Assemble parts accurately to restore vehicles to their original condition.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines.
Perform heavy lifting as required during the repair process.
Prep & Spray Paint cars (1 - 2 days/wk or Sick/ Annual leave cover )
Requirements
Proven experience as a Panel Beater within the automotive industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Ability to read and understand technical schematics related to vehicle bodywork.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Good customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism when interacting with clients. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during repairs.
Proven experience as Spray Painter (2yrs+)
