Summary

About the role:
Supporting children and young people (CYP) with visual, hearing, multi-sensory and physical impairments to learn, as appropriate to each individual, safe, independent movement and/or travel, to develop daily living skills, and to gain the knowledge and confidence needed in order to participate in their wider communities.
About you:
You will have experience of assessment needs/risk assessment, environmental audits, mobility, independence. You will also have experience of working with CYP who have a range of additional learning needs. You will have a commitment to developing fair, respectful, trusting, supportive and constructive relationships with CYP and their
families.
What you will do:
Assess the habilitation needs of CYP supported by the local authority sensory service. Providing advice, information and assistance to parents, carers, school staff and others in close contact with the CYP in order to ensure consolidation of any implemented training programmes.

This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
