Key Responsibilities:Carry out cleaning duties as requiredWear protective clothing provided and follow safe working practices in accordance with safety procedures, including Health & Safety and COSSH regulationsMaintain equipment, storage and working areasTreat visitors to the centre in a helpful, supportive and understanding mannerUndertake training as deemed necessaryWork as part of the staff team employed within the Centre to ensure the overall aims of the organisation are achievedUndertake other duties as required for the effective running of the CentreThe successful candidate(s) will also need to demonstrate: Knowledge of relevant health and safety practice in regards to cleaning materials and equipmentSome previous experience of commercial cleaning Basic standard of literacy and numeracy with the ability to communicate in English to the level required to fulfil your dutiesGood verbal and written communication skillsKeeping all appropriate paperwork evidencing tasks completed to support the services providedThe ability and willingness to work within, be empathic with and promote the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army MissionIn order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment subject to satisfactory references, satisfactory basic DBS Check and evidence of your Right to Work in the UK in line with Home Office requirements.As we are not a licensed sponsor, applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
