Local cleaners wanted to work in private homes in Ely, Cambridgeshire (and other areas) carrying out general cleaning and other house cleaning tasks. This is part-time up to a maximum of 20 hours a week, and often carried out while the homeowner is at work. The range of tasks done by cleaners depends on what the homeowner wants. But they may include any of the following and some more:
- dusting and polishing furniture
- cleaning windows
- vacuuming carpets
- mopping floor tiles
- ironing clothing
- washing up pots and pans
For the role, you need:
- To enjoy carrying out practical tasks.
- To be dependable and motivated.
- Have knowledge of using household cleaning equipment and materials.
- The ability to work without being supervised.
- To have great cleaning standards.
- To work as part of a team with other cleaners, if necessary. Cleaners could be asked to do a one off spring clean for a special occasion. For example, washing down paintwork and walls, clean out cupboards and shampoo carpets. All cleaning products and materials will be provided by the customer. Payment shall be made on the day of each clean.
