Required from September 2026, we are looking to appoint a motivated and committed Teacher of Technology (maternity cover) to join our thriving, innovative, and supportive team.
Design Technology is a successful and vibrant subject area, offering a broad and engaging curriculum across all key stages. The faculty delivers Product Design and Textiles at KS3, KS4 and KS5, alongside Food and Nutrition from KS3 to KS4.
Outcomes across all areas of the department are consistently strong, with students achieving outstanding results. As one of the most popular option choices at GCSE and A Level, this is an exciting opportunity to join a well-resourced and highly supportive department.

Benefits of working at Ashmole Academy:

• A two-week October half term.
• Extensive professional development to ensure high quality teaching through INSET days, themed whole school meetings, support in completing national professional qualifications and departmental meetings with a focus on training.
• A strong professional tutor team led by experienced staff to support all of our Early Career Teachers. Early Career Teachers receive beyond their statutory induction requirements.
• A focus on wellbeing led by a staff wellbeing committee, promoting activities such as golden week, subsidised yoga and staff social activities.
• Flexible working opportunities at a family friendly school, which includes a Primary School on site.
• On site Starbucks as well as over 150 car park spaces and electric charging bays.
• Opportunities to be part of a range of school trips including destinations in Europe and the USA.
