About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established international engineering and manufacturing company. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a reliable and motivated Assembly Operative to join their production team in the Birmingham area.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturing environment producing high-quality industrial equipment supplied to customers across Europe and worldwide.
Key Responsibilities

Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies using technical drawings and work instructions

Use hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment safely and accurately

Ensure all assemblies meet strict quality and safety standards

Carry out basic testing and inspections of completed assemblies

Maintain a clean and organised work area

Report faults, defects or production issues to the supervisor

Work collaboratively with colleagues across production and engineering teams
Requirements

Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing or production preferred

Ability to follow technical drawings or work instructions

Good attention to detail and commitment to quality

Comfortable using hand tools and workshop equipment

Reliable with good timekeeping

Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential)

Mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience

Experience working in an engineering or machinery manufacturing environment
