Description
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Senior Early Years Nursery Education Worker (Sc5) to join our dynamic team in providing high-quality early education and care for young children. As a Senior Early Years Worker, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of our educational programs. You will work collaboratively with a team of educators to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the holistic development of children aged 0-5 years. Your expertise in early childhood education will help foster a love for learning, ensuring that each child’s individual needs are met. You will have the opportunity to guide and mentor junior staff, contributing to their professional development while maintaining a focus on delivering outstanding childcare. Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality educational activities and experiences for children aged 0-5 years
Assess and monitor children's development, planning appropriate next steps in their learning
Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment
Engage and involve parents and caregivers in their children's learning and development
Supervise and support junior staff, facilitating professional growth and development
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and legislation regarding child welfare and safety
Maintain accurate records of child progress and development, preparing reports for management and parents
Requirements
A relevant qualification in Early Years Education (Level 3 or above)
Demonstrated experience working in a nursery or early years setting
Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and mentor junior staff
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for working with young children and understanding their developmental needs
Knowledge of safeguarding principles and best practices in child welfare
