CARE MANAGER

REPORTING TO: Registered Manager

Ourway Care is expanding across Cornwall, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Care Manager to support the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within the community while helping to grow and strengthen our complex care services.

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will support the management of care packages, lead and develop care teams, and help ensure that our services continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for the people we support.

ABOUT OURWAY CARE

Unlike traditional care models, we support clients to recruit their own dedicated Support Worker teams. This approach allows us to:

Each Support Worker is recruited with a specific client and care package in mind, ensuring the right combination of skills, values and personality to deliver the highest standards of care.

THE ROLE

As Care Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in overseeing the safe and effective delivery of care services across Cornwall.

You will work closely with clients, families, support workers and clinical professionals to ensure that care packages are well managed, person-centred and responsive to individual needs.

This role combines operational leadership, staff support, and quality assurance, helping ensure that both clients and staff are fully supported.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management of care services
o Provide leadership, guidance and operational support to Support Workers
o Ensure care delivery is person-centred and aligned with individual care plans
o Promote and safeguard the welfare of all clients
o Support rota planning, staffing coordination and care package management
o Maintain accurate records and ensure documentation meets regulatory standards
o Work alongside the Clinical Nurse Manager to support staff training and development
o Conduct staff supervisions and support ongoing professional development
o Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maximise positive outcomes for clients
o Participate in the out-of-hours emergency on-call rota when required
o Support the continuous improvement of service quality and operational processes


WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR

ESSENTIAL

o Experience in a similar care management or senior care role
o Strong leadership and communication skills
o Organised, motivated and committed to high standards of care
o Confident using IT systems and digital records
o Good understanding of CQC standards and health & social care regulations
o Ability to travel across Cornwall (full UK driving licence)


DESIRABLE

o Experience working in complex care or community-based services
o Ability to contribute to service development and business growth
o Experience supporting staff development and training
o A proactive and solution-focused approach
