As a Children and Young People's Support Worker, you will be a vital part of our client's team, dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to children and young people in the local community. Your role will involve working closely with children and young people, ranging from early years to adolescence, who may face a variety of challenges, such as emotional, behavioural, or social difficulties. By drawing on your expertise and empathy, you will collaborate with our client's multidisciplinary team to develop personalised support plans that cater to the unique needs of each individual.

Alongside your direct work with children and young people, you will also liaise with their families, carers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to their care. Your ability to build trusting relationships and work effectively within a team will be essential in delivering the highest standard of support.

- Provide compassionate and empathetic support to children and young people, tailoring your approach to their individual needs
- Assist with daily routines, including personal care, meals, and medication management, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of those in your care
- Plan and facilitate engaging and educational activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children and young people
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to develop and implement personalised support plans
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to our client's policies and procedures
- Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge
- Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and confidentiality in all aspects of your work
- Relevant experience working with children and young people, either in a paid or voluntary capacity
- A genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of vulnerable individuals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, young people, and their families
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- A creative and flexible approach to problem-solving and adapting to the changing needs of those in your care
- A commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
- A valid Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, or the willingness to obtain one
- Relevant qualifications in a related field, such as social care, youth work, or child development, are desirable but not essential
