Summary
Mobile HGV Technician
Location: Biggleswade & surrounding areas
Salary: Up to 20ph + lots of overtime
Full-time – Monday to Friday (1.30pm - 10pm) - Can be negotiable
Job Overview A leading commercial vehicle service provider is looking for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join their team. This role involves travelling to customer sites and roadside locations to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy goods vehicles and trailers. A company van, tools, and fuel card are provided.
HGV Technician Responsibilities
- Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on HGVs and trailers
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
- Attend roadside breakdowns and perform repairs
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections
- Complete job sheets and service records
- Follow health & safety and roadside safety procedures
HGV Technician Requirements
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Experience working with HGVs, trailers, or commercial vehicles
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence beneficial)
- Ability to work independently in a mobile role
