Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

This selective Academy Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher of English to lead a well-established and successful department. The new Head of English will be expected to teach all age groups throughout the School, including in the Sixth Form. As well as providing guidance and acting as a role model for other teaching colleagues within the Department, all middle leaders are expected to make a contribution to the broader development of the School.

The English Department is well-resourced and all teaching staff have access to excellent support and professional development opportunities. The School offers a friendly but determined working environment, with an academic culture that is challenging, rigorous and student-centred.
