Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Salary: Band A (NJC 2) Actual: £8,769 per annum.
Contract: Permanent, term time plus 10 days.
Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 5.30am – 8.30am (Flexibility to start earlier than this is possible).
Closing Date: Friday 20th March 2026 at 9am.
Start Date: As soon as you are able.

We are looking to appoint a hard-working and dedicated School Cleaner to join our friendly and supportive school community. This is an important role in helping to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a range of cleaning duties throughout the school to ensure that our children’s learning environment is maintained to a high standard. Duties will include cleaning classrooms, offices, toilets, communal areas and outdoor space, as well as the safe use of cleaning equipment and materials.

This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, is reliable and enjoys working independently.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in cleaning duties and knowledge of best practices in cleaning
• The ability to work under their own initiative with minimal supervision
• An understanding of the importance of providing a high-quality cleaning service within a school environment
• An awareness of hygiene standards and health and safety requirements in the workplace
• A positive and proactive ‘can do’ attitude
• A reliable and flexible approach to their work
