We have 2 vacancies for Learning Mentors, with a vacancy on each campus, atDeanswayand Brittain Lane.
As alearning mentor, some of your responsibilities will be to:
• Supervise safe arrival and departure of all pupils atallocatedschool site
• Meet and greet children, young people and families being a point of contact forfamilies
• Compete chronologies andkeep intervention trackers up to date
• Deliver small group or 1-1 therapeutic provisione.g.Lego therapy,girls/boysgroupemotional welling being sessions,story massage etc
• Create social scripts and visual supports such as CommunicateInPrint (CIP) timetables
• Support pupils with defensive or risk behaviours both at home and school
• Support pupils and families to achieve high attendance, complete homevisitsand safe and well checks.
• Run daily lunchtime clubs according to the pupil’s interests
• SupportPastoralManager to deliver identified early help
• Willingness to train as a TEAM TEACH trainer
• Support pupils with developing progress with personal care both at school and home
• SupportPastoral Managerin delivering/facilitatingparent workshops
• Support with transitional needs
• Attend CIN and Early Support meetings
• Work with a range of external professionalse.gplay therapists, CAMHS
