Remote role based in Oxford
Your new company
We are a well‑established national organisation undergoing a significant transformation of our digital, data and information landscape. As part of a major modernisation programme, we are investing in enhanced data capabilities, improved governance practices and a more connected, insight‑driven data environment. This is a rare opportunity to contribute to a mission‑critical programme, supporting the development of a new enterprise‑wide data foundation that will enable better decision-making and service delivery for colleagues and stakeholders across the UK.
Your new role
As an Information Analyst, you will support the delivery of high‑quality data insights that help drive business change and future operating models. Working across a complex multi‑system environment, you will assist in gathering, analysing and interpreting data from a range of sources to produce clear, accurate and meaningful outputs for programme leads and wider stakeholders. You will contribute to the development of unified data structures, support the documentation and mapping of data flows, and help strengthen data governance and data quality processes. The role will involve hands‑on data analysis, data preparation and visualisation, as well as supporting essential activities such as data cleansing, validation and improving metadata and information asset records. You will collaborate closely with technical teams, business SMEs and project colleagues to ensure data is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose within a rapidly evolving programme landscape.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience working as an Information Analyst or Data Analyst within a complex organisation or multi‑system environment. You will bring good analytical skills, some experience with data cleansing, transformation and visualisation, and confidence working with large datasets. Proficiency in tools such as Excel and SQL is important, as is familiarity with at least one BI or reporting tool (e.g. Power BI or Tableau). Experience supporting data governance, data quality initiatives or improvements in information management will be highly advantageous, alongside an understanding of how to document data flows, attributes and metadata. You should be comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical colleagues, interpreting requirements and translating them into useful and clear outputs. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently within a fast‑moving programme will be key to your success.
What you'll get in return
You will join a programme with meaningful national impact, helping to build a more connected and insight‑driven data environment. Alongside a competitive daily rate, you will benefit from flexible working arrangements, a collaborative team and the opportunity to contribute to a transformative initiative that will significantly enhance the organisation's digital and analytical maturity.
